Dear friends of the
Ukrainian community in the DFW area! Gather up your Ukrainian flags,
shirts and colors and head down to enjoy
the entertainment, international
foods and to support
Veselka & Zorya in our upcoming performances on Saturday May 26, 2012,
in The
Arts District of downtown Dallas for the
Dallas International Festival. This year, U.A.S.T. will not only be
represented by Zorya and Veselka, we will have a booth as well. Bring
your friends to enjoy the festival and stop by the booth to see the
beautiful pysanky and decorating kits, and Ukrainian crafts that we will
have for sale.
We can
always use help manning the booth, so anyone
interested in supporting us in that way, please

Christmas Carols by Veselka
Your favorite Ukrainian folk singing group in DFW, 'Veselka', will be
performing Ukrainian Christmas carols on
Saturday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Allen Public Library
Theater, as well there will also be an appearance by Zorya Dance
Ensemble of Dallas. Wow, this will be a great event!
Some of the Carols will be performed a Cappella while others will be
accompanied with a violin, guitar, accordion and keyboard. Joining
Veselka with the chromatic accordion is Allen resident and virtuoso
Vladimir Kalizine, will also perform some Ukrainian Chanukah songs.
